Story environments

Here are some new environments for my class - with all the lessons on composition and lighting, and introduction of color, I'm now trying to push the content and story a bit further as well as trying new techniques here and there.  Crits most certainly welcome!

Thanks for looking

  1. All really interesting refinements! I'm sad that you axed the neon colored volcano, I thought the color choice next to a natural environment was really compelling. The only thing that sticks out to me "story-wise" is the splashes in the bottom right piece, if it's a river running though then the rest of the water seems top calm (the flat calm reflection I got from your thumbnails was a better choice for me, since it fit the dilapidated condition of the red machinery/door) It the splashes are debris falling, then only two that close together seems improbable. Great work though, I really like the refinements of the lower left one a lot.

  2. Thanks for taking interest Clayton! I may develop that one further so I hope to clarify...the lower right splashing will be a survivor, and I suppose debris will need to be more apparent and busy. I felt the axed one was just a bit simple and basic overall so I'm just trying to amp up the industrial content/detail and story. Thanks pal
