After a long break and a few critiques I worked this one up a bit further - probably one more session and I'll leave it alone, and any feedback would be helpful (such as his wrist is currently invisible)!
I never feel qualified to give critique but here goes: I feel like the background isnt glowing hot enough and that knight should be higher contrast because I'm not sure he pops of the page just yet. Almost to the point of being backlit with some nice hot rim lights. Lastly I feel like hes being too far crowded into the top left corner.
Thanks Alan - hey everyone can critique, no worries there my friend. I was originally liking the feeling that he was too tall to fit in frame but I think you're right - the other scale cues can tell that instead and I should bump him down. You bet, lots of rendering to go including tighter lighting and I'll see what I can do with the bg, thanks!
